PACIFIC NORTHWEST TREE PROJECT

SPPhoto-WEB-SPP04030.jpg

The project is due to launch in early October. Then, for the first time, you’ll be able to see our 3 incredible super-sized Tree Portraits. In late 2018 we spent 3 months exploring photographing a Noble Fir, Sitka Spruce and the mightiest Douglas Fir. Now they are ready for the world.

Yes, prints of all 3 will be available via our website and can be shipped worldwide.

In this photo, you can see Miko Maiz and Elena Lauterbach taking a rest on what we called Angels Landing. It is a very prominent feature 35 metres up the barren trunk of our Douglas Fir. Angels Landing was once a reiteration, effectively a new tree sprouting from the side of the main tree, and its diameter alone was more than 40cm. The structure of these trees is something to whiteness.
